About Alix Cross
Alix Coulter Cross has nearly 25 years of experience in commercial litigation and arbitration. She represents business clients in securities and financial service litigation, contract and real property disputes, and employment matters. Her clients include companies, boards of directors, senior management, and individuals. Cross also represents both brokerages and claimants in industry arbitrations. She has routinely been listed in Best Lawyers in America for Securities Litigation and Labor & Employment Litigation.
Cross began her career as a law clerk for Judge Gilbert S. Merritt, Chief Judge of the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. She earned her law degree from Vanderbilt Law School, where she was Executive Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. Cross holds a bachelor’s degree from Harvard University, where she played basketball.
About Michael Mills
Since graduating from Vanderbilt Law School, Michael Mills has handled nearly all aspects of business transactions. An engineer by training, Mills gravitates toward complex contract negotiations, corporate transactions and joint ventures, secured transactions, and private equity work. Before law school, Mills spent several years as a management and technology consultant, helping clients re-engineer their business processes by leveraging software and technology. With Deloitte Consulting LLP and later his own consulting business, Mills worked with clients throughout the United States, Canada, and Mexico.
Mills earned his law degree from Vanderbilt Law School, where he was a Managing Editor of the Vanderbilt Law Review. He holds a bachelor’s degree, summa cum laude, in electrical engineering from the Vanderbilt University School of Engineering.
